Kevin Fiur is a senior executive leader with over twenty-five years of diverse corporate and legal experience including fifteen plus years of domestic and international sales and business development experience. Mr. Fiur possesses a long track record of success in managing complex legal matters; envisioning and developing new markets and business opportunities; building and commercializing new and established technologies; and developing and managing customers and client relationships. He was recruited at the beginning of 2015 to join Austin-based Quantum Interface (QI) as Executive Vice President and Board Member with the directive to lead business development, sales and licensing of Quantum's user interface software, and to guide is direction, growth, and fundraising for the next phase of its development. In August 2015, Mr. Fiur was recruited out of QI by iFLY Indoor Skydiving to manage legal and business affairs as the company transitioned from a start-up to a rapidly growing global consumer entertainment company.  Effective March 2016, Mr. Fiur was named iFLY's Senior Vice President and General Counsel.  Mr. Fiur was subsequently promoted to his current role as Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer and serves on the company's Executive Leadership Team. 

Mr. Fiur previously headed the Fiur Consulting Group, Inc. (FCG), which he founded in 2002. As the leader of FCG, Mr. Fiur has counseled some of the world's largest companies on a wide range of complex legal and business issues, ranging from high stakes litigation avoidance strategies to identifying and developing new customers, expanding into new markets, raising capital and acquiring and monetizing technology rights.  

In 2004, Mr. Fiur received his MBA from the Acton School of Business in Austin, Texas.   After graduating at the head of the class, Mr. Fiur formulated the beginnings of a new marketplace for buying and selling intellectual property. Over the following decade, Mr. Fiur helped lead the development and evolution of the IP transactions market, first as the principal of IP Tactics and IP Knowledge Ventures, and then as a Senior Vice President of ICAP.

Mr. Fiur has broad international business experience.  Beginning with a first transaction with LG Electronics in 2006, Mr. Fiur developed a substantial pipeline of business in Asia and has become an expert in negotiations of complex deals in the Far East.  He has a substantial network across Asia and maintains the ability to develop business overseas in a wide variety of service and technology related industries. He has previously spent significant time in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East while in the legal and energy businesses.

In addition to FCG, Mr. Fiur has founded several other companies. His first venture, IP Tactics, and then IP Knowledge Ventures, was a novel private investment and consulting company focused on the monetization of underutilized IP assets.  In 2009, the firm's members all joined ICAP, one of the world's largest broker dealers, with the directive to build a global business for buying and selling technology rights.  Under Mr. Fiur's direction, the company generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue and turned a profit in its first full year of operations, with Mr. Fiur personally closing over $40 million in transactions during his tenure. 

Before starting FCG, Mr. Fiur served as the General Counsel and then COO of Seitel, Inc from 1999 to 2002.  He also was elected to the Board of Directors of the company in 2002.  Seitel specializes in acquiring, managing and licensing seismic data for the oil and gas industry.  In 2002, the board turned to Mr. Fiur during a liquidity crisis and appointed him as interim CEO to manage the company as it restructured its debt obligations and operations.

Mr. Fiur started his professional career as a lawyer with Baker Botts LLP, where he gained recognition as a top strategist and negotiator. He represented American Airlines, ExxonMobil, Sears, State Farm, Dow Chemical and the Houston Rockets basketball organization in various legal matters.  After leaving Baker Botts, Kevin started his IP practice in California, where he was an associate at a leading entertainment law firm and counseled various movie studios and multimedia firms on licensing and other IP related matters.

In addition to his MBA, Mr. Fiur's education includes a BA degree in the Plan II Honors Program from the University of Texas at Austin, and a JD (Order of the Coif) from the University of Texas School Of Law.  After law school, he went on to clerk for Judge James R. Nowlin at the U.S. District Court in Austin before joining Baker Botts.  Kevin is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Texas.  He has served on the boards of the University Of Texas College Of Natural Sciences, the Houston Technology Center, Child Advocates of Texas, the Aspiring Youth Program and Technology Tree Group, Inc.  Kevin is married and lives with his wife and four children in Austin, Texas.
