Kevin Fiur is a seasoned executive, entrepreneur and lawyer with over 20 years of diverse corporate and legal experience both domestically and internationally. He possesses a long track record of success in a variety of markets and business endeavors, including energy services, technology licensing and commercialization, intellectual property monetization, management consulting, litigation finance and crisis management. In addition, Mr. Fiur has a well developed business network throughout Asia and over a decade of experience doing deals in Korea and other foreign countries.
Mr. Fiur started his professional career as a litigator with Baker Botts LLP, where he worked on cutting edge legal matters for Fortune 500 companies and gained recognition as a top strategist and negotiator. After leaving Baker Botts, Kevin started his IP practice in California, where he was an associate at a leading entertainment law firm and counseled movie studios and music companies on licensing and other IP related matters, while at the same time handling copyright and trademark infringement litigation. Later in his career, Mr. Fiur was the General Counsel and then crisis management CEO of an NYSE company.
Mr. Fiur has been a successful entrepreneur for the past decade. In 2011, he launched Innovestion LLC to commercialize technologies backed by patents and trade secrets and invest in undervalued intangible assets generated from the R&D of leading global companies. His prior venture, IP Tactics, was a successful brokerage firm that was rolled into ICAP plc in 2009, with his entire management team moving to ICAP to build its global IP transactions business.
Kevin’s education includes a B.A. degree in the Plan II Honors Program from the University of Texas at Austin, a JD (Order of the Coif) from the University of Texas School Of Law, and a MBA from the Acton School of Business in Austin, Texas.
